How To Apply For International Scholarship

To apply for a scholarship, you’ll need to fill out and submit an application form along with all requested documents. You can apply for a University of Alberta scholarship through MyAccess.

Applications must be received by May. Please note that applications are accepted until May 30 for some scholarships. The University Of Alberta provides many opportunities for international students including a fully-funded scholarship program.

University of Alberta Scholarships is open to international students who want to pursue their undergraduate or graduate studies at the University of Alberta, Canada. The university offers three types of fully-funded scholarships: Chancellor’s Scholarship; President’s Scholarship; and Dean’s Scholarship.

Application Dates, Deadlines, Eligibility

The University of Alberta Scholarships application is available between October 1st and May 31st annually. The awards are given to new international students (students who have not previously studied at another post-secondary institution in Canada or abroad).

Applicants must be full-time students enrolled in a degree program at either undergraduate or graduate level at one of our four campuses: Edmonton, Calgary, Northern Alberta, or Lethbridge. Candidates should have a minimum GPA of 3.0.

Don’t worry if your ideas change over time—you can go back and tweak them later on—but taking a few minutes upfront to think about what you want to say can save lots of last-minute scrambling once you’re ready to hit submit.

There are scholarships available exclusively to international students (with one valued at $10,000 USD), as well as awards that can be combined with your tuition coverage. Award applications are due May 31st, 2022.
