Jigawa varsity bans night visits to female hostels (See Why)

The Federal University of Dutse (FUD) has banned night visits to female hostels as well as the entry of all tinted cars.

Prof. Abdulkarim Sabo Mohammed, the university's Vice-Chancellor, told reporters about it.

He made the decision following a night patrol of the school, he claimed.

He explained that the university had tinted automobiles impounded at the girls' hostel because their suspected actions with the students were in violation of the university's rules and regulations.

Professor Abdulkarim Sabo said that female students whose actions were found wanting during the night patrol have been reported to their parents.

“All the students are in the university to study and as their guardian, we would not allow anybody to compromise their moral values,” he said.

“The university will not tolerate night visitation of the female hostel, tinted cars in the daytime and most importantly at night.”

He cautioned that anyone caught would be prosecuted in the future.
