NEWSBREAKING: INEC removes polling units from shrines, churches, mosques.

 


The freelance National Electoral Commission (INEC) has removed 749 polling units from inappropriate facilities.


The commission removed 9 polling units from shrines and a number of other others from non secular homes, royal palaces, and personal properties.


INEC Chairman, faculty member Mahmood Yakubu created this famed on Wed in Abuja at a gathering with Resident Electoral Commissioners (RECs).


He, however, didn't offer reasons for the action.


Presently, Nigeria has 176, 846 full-fledged polling units from the initial 119, 973 polling units.


This is as a results of the recent conversion of existing option points to units by the commission.
